Welcome to VidSonote! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VidSonote website, transcription platform, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing, registering for, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service.

The Service is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account using a supported third-party identity provider (such as Google).

You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

VidSonote reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide inaccurate information, violate these Terms, or remain inactive for an extended period.

You retain all ownership rights to the audio, video, text, and other materials you upload or process through the Service ("Your Content"). VidSonote claims no ownership over Your Content.

By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant VidSonote a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and process Your Content, and that Your Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

You agree not to use the Service in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or violates these Terms. Specifically, you agree NOT to:

• Upload or process content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or promotes violence or discrimination.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other malicious software.
• Exceed permitted usage limits or circumvent billing mechanisms.

VidSonote offers various paid subscription plans. Pricing, features, and billing cycles are detailed on our pricing page and presented to you prior to purchase.

Payments are securely processed through our third-party payment provider, Dodo Payments. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the applicable fees.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Refunds are generally not provided for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

We strive to ensure the Service is highly available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be subject to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

VidSonote reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes that may adversely affect your use of the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIDSONOTE EXPLICITLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the transcription results will be completely accurate or error-free. AI-generated transcriptions should be reviewed and verified by humans before being relied upon for critical purposes.

IN NO EVENT SHALL VIDSONOTE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page or by sending an email to the address associated with your account.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
